Project Description

Gelberg Signs

Gelberg Signs is one of the region’s leading designers and fabricators of commercial signage. Founded in Washington, DC in 1941 by William P. Gelberg, the company was purchased by the Brami family - brothers Guy, Luc and Neil - in 1988. Gelberg Signs produces an array of exterior and interior signs, canopies, building Identification, menu boards, dimensional lettering and electrical signs for companies including Marriott, Aramark, AARP and Sodexho. In 2007, the company was awarded the multimillion dollar contract to design and fabricate the 3500+ signs for Washington DC’s new Nationals Stadium, and came to C. Fox Communications to help announce the deal. Rather than just write and distribute a release, we teamed with the city’s Department of Local, Small and Disadvantaged Business program to share how small, locally owned companies like Gelberg are being given new and better opportunities at securing major contracts. Our spin on the story landed Gelberg a feature story in the Washington, Post, DC Examiner, and Washington Times, as well as stories in the Washington Business Journal and various trade publications.
